Vehicle Accident with One on Fire

On Wednesday August 27th at 2334 hours units from New Market and Green Valley were alerted for a vehicle accident near the railroad bridge on Old Bartholows Road. RE153(Lt. Williamson) and C15-1(DFC Moe) responded with 7 volunteers. Chief 15-1 arrived on scene to find a car into the bridge with the car well off. Vehicle Accident on I-70 Leads to Flyout

On Tuesday August 26th at 1239 hours units from New Market and Mount Airy were alerted for a motor vehicle accident with one possibly unconscious on Interstate 70 Westbound at Route 75. RE153(Lt. Engine Co.15 Fills out the Box for the Barn Fire

In the early hours of Tuesday August 19th, Box Alarm 17-9 was sounded for the report of a barn fire in the 13200blk of Coppermine Rd. With several units failing to respond Companies 15 and 11(Walkersville Fire) were added to the assignment to fill out the box. Volunteers Hold Monthly Drill at Frederick County Training Academy

On Thursday July 24th at 1900 hours the New Market Volunteers loaded up and headed over to the Frederick County Public Safety Training Academy. E152, RE153, B156, U15, and C15 attended the drill with 20 volunteers, while A159 remained staffed in quarters. On Tuesday July 29th, Engine-152(FF3 Lawson) took on the fill-in assignment at Fire Station 31 (Westview) while the career and volunteer members paid tribute to Past Chief Mark Fisher who lost his battle with cancer, New Market Volunteers send their deepest sympathy in such a loss to our neighbors.

Volunteers Extinguish Abandoned House Fire

On Sunday July 20th at 0130 hours units were dispatched for a reported field fire in the 12900 block of Old Annapolis Road. RE153(Lt. Williamson), B156(FF Kennedy), U15(EMR Runkles), and D15(Lt. New Market Volunteers Receive $119,000 Federal Grant

On Thursday, July 3, 2014 the New Market District Volunteer Fire Department was awarded a $119,000 federal Assistance to Firefighters Grant. The annual grant program, run by FEMA, provides funding for fire departments across the nation to purchase fire apparatus, equipment, turnout gear, and many other projects. On Sunday June 29th at 2310 hours units were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover on Boyers Mill Road in the area of New Market Court. A159(EMT Mercandetti), RE153(Lt. Williamson), B156(FF D.
