Rescue Squad Goes Mutual Aid for Building Fire

On Wednesday August 14th at 0300 hours, Montgomery County ECC contacted Frederick ECC for units. The initial units on scene reported a large commercial building fully involved upon arrival and requested a rapid intervention dispatch, water supply task force and subsequently a 2nd alarm worth of units. On Wednesday, July 25th, heavy rains pounded the region, and in particular caused major small stream flooding in Westminster, MD. Carroll County departments were quickly overwhelmed with the number of water rescue calls they were receiving for vehicles and residents stranded in floodwater. A Statement Regarding our Door to Door Fundrasier

We have received several complaints and concerns over the past few days about our on-going door-to-door fundraising campaign. The NMDVFC employs a third-party company to raise funds on our behalf, as we do not have the time to do this sort of manpower intensive fundraising with department members.
