Wing Fling Fundraiser

First Ever, New Market District Volunteer Fire and Rescue Co Inc Wing Fling to be held on Saturday May 30th, 2015.
Doors Open at 5pm and we serve all you can eat style from 6pm to 8pm. We will be set for 250 guest with 100 of those seats being in a kid friendly alcohol free zone in our Fire Engine Bay. One Trapped on Boyers Mill Road

On Saturday May 23rd at 0523 hours units from New Market were alerted for a vehicle accident at Boyers Mill Road and Eaglehead Drive. A159 (FF Rosebrock), RE153 (Sgt Chapman), E152 (FF Heller), and D15 (Lt. Conaway) responded. D15 arrived find a single pickup truck into a tree with one occupant trapped and unconscious. Milk Tanker Overturns on Interstate 70

On Wednesday May 20th at 0615 hours units from New Market and Mount Airy were alerted for a tractor trailer rollover with a vehicle on fire on Interstate 70 Eastbound at Exit 68. Building Fire in Frederick City

On Tuesday May 19th just after 0130 hours units were alerted for a building fire in the 300 Block of Selwyn Drive in Frederick City. Mutual Aide to Howard County for the House Fire

In the early morning hours of Friday May 15th units were alerted for a house fire on Long Corner Road in Howard County, MD. E152 (Lt. Conaway), RE153 (FF D. White), C15-1 (DFC Moe), and C15-3 (AFC Thews) responded with 14 volunteers. First arriving HCE41 from Lisbon VFC found a two story uninhabited home with fire throughout. In the early morning hours of Wednesday May 13th units were alerted for a vehicle accident with entrapment on I-70 Westbound in the area of the 59 mile marker. A159 (FF Mele), RE153 (Sgt. Busy Afternoon with Two Flyouts

On Sunday May 10th, just after lunch time, units were alerted for an injured person in the Westwinds Subdivision. A159 (FF Hannaby) arrived to find a serious traumatic injury and quickly requested aviation and additional resources to assist. A159 and E152 (Sgt. Hanagan), with 8 volunteers, worked to land MSP Trooper 3 on the golf course and transport the serious patient to Shock Trauma.

At approximately 1330 hours units from Montgomery County station 17 were alerted for a brush fire in the 7200 block of Damascus Road in the Etchison community. On Monday March 30th around 1230hrs Company-15 was alerted for a tree fire in the 12400blk Hill Ct, when initial Engine Company, RE153(DFRS Capt Shippey) responded ECC updated the assignment to trees on fire bringing B156(FF Fuller) and E152(AFC Thews) with a total of 9 personnel.
