New Market Volunteers Run Door Pop on I-70

On Saturday January 31st at 1502 hours, units from New Market and Mount Airy were alerted for a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 70 westbound just prior to Exit 62. A159 (Lt. Sullivan), RE153 (Sgt. Chapman), E152 (AFC Thews), B156 (J. Fossett), and C15 (FC Nalborczyk) responded on the call with 18 volunteers. On Wednesday January 21st a mid-morning snow storm struck the area, causing a slew of motor vehicle collisions. At 1233 hours, New Market units were alerted for a vehicle accident at Ijamsville Road and Broadmoor Crossing in Company 33's first due. A159 (FF Harper), RE153 (Capt. Schultz), E152 (Sgt. New Market Assists on Damascus House Fire

On Saturday January 10 at 1600 hours units from Montgomery, Frederick, and Carroll Counties were alerted for a house fire in the 28000 block of Kemptown Road in Damascus Co. 13's first due. Initial units on the scene found fire showing from a two story farm house and began an exterior attack. BC705 had the Kemptown Road Command. Engine, Squad, and Ambulance Assist on Johnsville House Fire

On Monday January 4th at 0153 hours units were alerted on Box 17-36 for the house fire in the 12900 block of Molasses Road in Johnsville. First arriving units found a large 2 story home with fire and smoke showing. C17(Stevens) established the Molasses Road command. Units began an interior attack on the fire. On Monday December 22nd at 0200 hours units from New Market, Green Valley, and Urbana were alerted for a vehicle accident with entrapment in the area of Fingerboard Road and Green Valley Elementary School. Volunteers take in a rollover on Gas House Pk
