Rescue Squad 15 Progress Report #13

The rescue squad has returned from Priority Install, where the new LED lights were installed. The new LED lights are a vast improvement over older halogen and strobe models. The units has been in the station for a few days getting more mounting work completed. Most of the Amkus tools were mounted, as well as axes and sledges. Collision with Entrapment on Route 75

On Wednesday March 22nd at 0847 hours Company 15 units were alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 75 and Old New Market Road. A159(DFRS FF Kelly), E152 (DFRS Lt. Wilby), D15 (Capt. Thews), and C15-2 (AFC Betts) responded with 8 personnel. D15 arrived to find a two vehicle head on collision with one patient trapped. Progress continues to be made towards getting the rescue squad in service. The last of the drawer inserts was completed for the air tools in the mounted tool box. New hand lights were installed in the rear walk-in. The cribbing is nearing completion, with over 170 pieces that have been cut, sanded, painted, and handles attached. Volunteers Catch Work on Fill-in For Brunswick Rescue

On Saturday March 4, 2017, Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Company held their annual awards banquet. BVAR asked New Market District VFC to provide standby coverage of Rescue Squad 19 for the night. The NMDVFC provided four volunteers to cover RS19 all night. New Market Volunteers Respond to Green Valley House Fire

In the pre-dawn hours of March 1st units from Frederick County's 3rd Battalion and Montgomery County's 5th Battalion were alerted on Box 25-16 for a house fire in the 3400 block of Adgate Court in Green Valley. Volunteers Respond to Mount Airy House Fire

On Thursday February 23rd at 1733 hours, Carroll County transmitted Box Alarm 1-15 for the house fire with possible entrapment in the 1900 block of South Main Street. E152 (DFRS Capt. Newman), U15/C15 (Chief Nalborczyk), and C15-3 (AFC Kennedy) responded with 11 personnel. Rescue Squad 15 Progress Report #11

Rescue Squad 15 has undergone several changes and much work in the past two weeks. It went to Ohio during the last week in January for a new SCBA fill station and control panel to be installed. The unit then returned to the station where many more brackets and components were installed. Much of the equipment inventory was installed, including nearly all of the equipment in the walk-in area.
