The New Market District Volunteer Fire Department will host a All You Can Eat Country Breakfast fundraiser on Sunday, December 17th, 2017 from 7am until noon. Bring the entire family, friends and neighbors out for a delicious Breakfast. We have confirmed with the North Pole that Santa will be in attendance.

Vehicle vs. Tractor Trailer Leaves One Trapped

On Wednesday December 6th at 0245 hours, units from New Market and Mount Airy were alerted for a vehicle accident on I-70 westbound just prior to Route 75. A159 (EMS Sgt. Cribb), RS15 (FF3 Williamson), E152 (FF3 White), and C15-3 (AFC Kennedy) responded with 14 volunteers. Co. 15 arrived on the scene to find a car vs. a tractor trailer with two occupants in the car. On Wednesday December 6th at 1217 hours Box 33-1 was alerted for the townhouse on fire in the 6100 Block of Baldridge Circle. E152 (DFRS Lt. On Sunday November 19th at 0310 hours Box Alarm 25-17 was alerted for a house fire in the 12600 block of Fakhre Court. E152 (Lt. Bowles), RS15 (Tech. Johnson), B156 (Sgt. Chapman), C15 (FC Nalborczyk), C15-2 (AFC Betts), C15-3 (AFC Kennedy) responded on the box with 12 volunteers. Shed & Chicken Coop Fire in Green Valley

On Sunday November 19th at 1228 hours, units from Green Valley, New Market, and Urbana were alerted for a shed fire in the 3800 block of Greenridge Drive in Green Valley. On Saturday November 4th at 1714 hours Box Alarm 33-02 was alerted for a house fire in the 9700 block of Chestnut Oak Court. E152, A159, and U15 were committed to a medical local in the first due prior to the call, so RS15 was the only unit dispatched. Woods Fire on Bottom Road

Around 1400 hours on Friday, September 20th, units from Carroll Station 1 were dispatched for a brush fire in the 13700 Blk of Bottom road. First arriving Carroll Brush-15 found a fast moving woods fire along a steep hill. A brush Task force and additional units were requested, bringing B156, E152, RS15, and C15. Saving Chaplain White, Annual Physicals a Lifesaver

In early 2012 by way of Fire Chief's General Order the New Market District Volunteer Fire Company started requiring every member to obtain and maintain an annual physical evaluation at CorpOHS of Frederick that was funded by tax payers funds. On Saturday October 14th at 1135 hours, RS15 was alerted to respond along with Mount Airy and Damascus to the 29000 block of Ridge Road for a vehicle collision with entrapment. RS15 (Capt Thews) and C15-3 (AFC Kennedy) responded with 5 volunteers. Co.13 arrived to find a head on collision with multiple patients and one pinned.
