In the evening hours of Tuesday August 7th, company 15 units were alerted for a reported skid loader accident in the Westwinds community. A158(Capt. Lawson), RE153(Lt Kilby), U15(Chief Nalborczyk), and Co. 15 Fire Police responded with 10 personnel. Units arrived to find a front end loader rolled over on a construction site in the 11100 block of Country club Road. U15 and A158 proceeded back to the site of the rollover and found a single patient out of the machine. He was evaluated and transported by A158 to Meritus Medical Center with traumatic injuries. Crews proceeded to evaluate the condition of the loader and noticed a diesel fuel leak from the underside. HIRT31 was requested to control the leak. Units stayed on scene for about 3 hours until the arrival of site personnel to upright the loader. Units cleared at 2030 hours.

At about 2000 hours company 15 units were alerted for a second vehicle accident in the area of Route 75 and Interstate 70. A158(Capt. Lawson) and ET154(FF Williamson) responded with 11 personnel on the run. A158 arrived to find a two vehicle accident with all patients out of the vehicle. The police were on the scene and had requested one patient to be checked out by EMS. A patient refusal was obtained and units went in service a short time later.
