By Deputy Fire Chief Christopher Moe
April 19, 2015

Shortly before 1530 hours, Companies 15 and 33 were alerted for an accident with "entrapment" in the area of Interstate 70 and Quinn Road, bringing Engine 153 (Sgt.Hanagan), Engine 152 (Sgt.Chapman), Ambulance 159 (FF Rosebrock), Duty 15 (Lt.Conaway) and Chief 15-1 (DFC Moe). Just as Rescue Engine 153 was arriving, Battalion 901 (B/C Healy) arrived, established command and reported 3 patients trapped in two seperate vehicles. Rescue Engine 153 immediately went to work stabilizing both vehicles, while EMS units began to conduct assessments of the trapped occupants. After finalizing a tie-back system to secure the stability of the vehicle on it's side, the roof was removed from the vehicle. A total of three patients were transported.
