n Monday 4/10 and Tuesday 4/11, two members of the New Market District VFC swift water rescue team attended a Boat Operator class hosted by Frederick County DFRS. The class consisted of classroom and practical sessions. Time was spent on our very own Lake Linganore, as well as some of the more treacherous stretches of the Potomac River near Potomac, MD. Boat 15 was an integral part of the program, and is one of 6 boat companies in Frederick County. We were glad to take part in the training and hone our rescue skills.
