New Market Volunteers Respond to Libertytown House Fire

At 0015 hours on Thursday April 18th, Box 17-31 was alerted for the house fire in the 10700 block of Old Annapolis Road. E152, RS15, A159, and C15 all responded on the box with 12 volunteers. First arriving units found fire showing from a 1 1/2 story single family home and the RID was started. Chief 11-1 established the Old Annapolis Road Command, with Chief 15 assigned to fire attack. Engine 152's crew deployed a second attack line, knocking fire on the exterior and attic voids before moving inside. Rescue Squad 15 was assigned to the fire attack group to open up for the engine companies. The fire was knocked within 15 minutes and the first alarm assignment was held to continue with overhaul. Co. 15 operated for two hours before returning to service.
