On Thursday November 2nd the District and surrounding companies were alerted for a house fire in the 5000 BlK of Mussetter rd. While responding ECC receive multiple calls stating the house was well involved. E152 first arriving found a one story single-family home originally a barn converted into an apartment fully involved. E152 establish the command and requested a tanker task force. Crews immediately went to adefensive attack stretching a 2 1/2 inch line and protecting exposures until the arrival of additional units using smaller lines to knock down majority of the house. The fire was out in about 30 minutes. Crews operated for an additional 2 1/2 to 3 hours doing extensive overhaul and mop up of additional hotspots. RS15 spent the majority of the incident, softening up the exterior of the structure so crews could gain access. Chief 15-2 and DC15 held the command.
