In the early hours of Sunday, March 30th, Company 15 units were alerted for the garage fire in the 100Blk of W. Main Street.
E153 was the first arriving unit to find a fully-involved detached garage. E153 established command and made an initial fire attack on side alpha, protecting the house exposure 10 -15 feet from the alpha-delta corner. An additional attack line was deployed from E153 to side charlie. Crews operated for approximately 8 minutes before the arrival of the second due engine company.
BC901 arrived on-scene and assumed the W. Main Street Command. BC901 reported a "good knock" on the fire at time of arrival. Fire was out in approximately 40 minutes.
E153 remained on the scene to assist the FM with investigation.
There were no injuries to civilians or FFs and no families were displaced. House sustained only minor heat damage.
Crews operated on the scene for approximately 4.5 hours. |
