During the 2025-2026 school year, members of the New Market District Fire Co participated in the Frederick County High School internship program. Over the school year, the student attended fire training classes during school hours. The students received certifications in Basic Medical skills, basic firefighting, firefighter survival and rescue, hazardous material training, basic rope rescue, and auto extrication rescue. These members competed over 300 hours of grueling physical training. On Friday May 22,2026 these members graduated from the program. They are now working to fine tune their skills on their shifts at the station. If you think this maybe something that interest, you contact our membership committee.
