Around 0530 hours this morning, units were dispatched to I-70 in the area of Bill Moxley Road for a reported motor vehicle collision with entrapment.
Units arrived on scene to find a four-vehicle collision with severe damage. One occupant was confirmed trapped in a passenger vehicle.
Rescue Squad 15 and Carroll Rescue 1 worked together to extricate the trapped occupant. Howard Medic 45 and Howard Rescue Engine 41 also assisted units on the scene. BC901 held the command.
Carroll Medic 18 transported one patient to an area trauma center. Ambulance 158 and Ambulance 259 transported additional patients to Frederick Health.
